“The Wildlife Warriors: Saving Their Habitats” Inspires a More Sustainable World
Get ready for an adventure with “The Wildlife Warriors: Saving Their Habitats,” a new children’s book written and illustrated by Orlyola Tantchou. The book warns about the dangers of climate change and inspires the youth to take action in their communities in order to create a more sustainable world.
For Orlyola, being a wildlife warrior means safeguarding our planet for generations to come. “As you grow up in a world profoundly affected by climate change,” she states, “it’s essential to recognize your role and equip yourselves with the green skills necessary for a sustainable future.” With “The Wildlife Warriors: Saving Their Habitats,” children of all ages are learning to become future climate champions.
About the Book
In “The Wildlife Warriors: Saving Their Habitats” by Orlyola Tantchou, four animals struggle with the negative consequences of climate change in their habitats. Kenny, Paisley, Teresa, and Bella face deforestation, melting glaciers, and pollution, all causes of their daunting reality. Because of this, they must find a way to fight back against climate change in order to save their habitats from doom.
As the Wildlife Warriors navigate these challenges, they look to young readers for assistance in their battle against global warming. Through this book, children are introduced to actionable steps they can take to contribute to Earth’s environmental conservation efforts.
About the Author
Orlyola Tantchou is a Co-Founder of No Limit International, a non-government organization (NGO) that empowers people to believe in a better society. Alongside sisters Orlyana, Orlyanka, and Orlybella Tantchou, Orlyola has reached thousands of people worldwide through her advocacy and community service initiatives.
One of No Limit International’s main focuses is Climate Action, a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) that encourages environmental action in order to combat climate change and its impacts. Orlyola’s passion for environmental action started from an early age, and she has since grown into a dedicated leader who strives to share her passion with as many people as she can. Through her debut book, Orlyola hopes to ignite a sense of environmental responsibility in young readers, inspiring them to become wildlife warriors.
Making a Difference Through Youth Education
Prior to the book’s release, No Limit International visited local schools in El Paso, Texas, where Orlyola read her book to a number of elementary school students. So far, the NGO has visited Nixon Elementary School, Sageland Elementary School, Parkland Elementary School, Desertaire Elementary School, Ramona STEM Academy, and Moye Elementary School. These schools are just a few of many that Orlyola hopes to inspire with her book, especially through younger classrooms.
“I wrote this book to explore the dangers of our environment with our young bright minds and nurture their curiosity and role as change agents,” Orlyola says. “Remember, age is no barrier to curiosity, engagement, and activism in safeguarding our planet.” Climate change affects the entire world regardless of age, and today’s children need to know that they, too, can impact our future.
“The Wildlife Warriors: Saving Their Habitats” serves as an education tool for the youth by making real-world issues comprehensible for younger audiences. With its unique storytelling, the book connects with children in a way that motivates them to join the fight against climate change—one page at a time.
Building a brighter future through books has been a core part of No Limit International’s mission and goals. Whether distributing books to local schools, building mobile libraries, or educating the youth on literacy, the non-government organization uses books as a way to break barriers in both local and global communities.
